Another First For the President!

President Obama is the first president to appear on a late talk night show. In the past, aspiring presidential candidates only used comedy shows to campaign for their election and not one of them will surface again before such a show after they became the President.

Obama cracked jokes amidst serious discussion in his appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday night.

He joked about that Secret Service agents never let him walk 750 yards from Air Force One to the Costa Mesa fairgrounds and also American Idol judge Simon Cowell before discussing the current economic turmoils as well as the AIG bonus scandal. He also mused that flying in the Air Force One is pretty cool because one get to wear a jacket with a seal on it.

He said that we are only going to get back on track if people "know" that they have a sense of responsibility and values that built America.

Be careful, Mr President! If the America people perceive that you are having too much of a good time, you might get a lot of unhappy reaction from them who are going through the economic pain now.

And by the way, you did mention that "most of the stuff that got us into trouble was perfectly legal." We perfectly agreed to that but don't you know that Lawrence Summers, your chief economic adviser, is the one who maintains its legality till these days and he is also the person who has a hand at drawing up the regulation of the derivatives while he was in Clinton administration?
